Ep.22 Practical strategies to calm your nervous system and overcome anxiety w/ Anna Papaioannou
Why is a regulated nervous system so important for our health? What are some symptoms of a dysregulated nervous system and what can we do to bring us back into homeostasis - our state of optimal functioning? How can we support someone experiencing anxiety? How can we manage a panic attack?
These are some of the questions I explore with Australian anxiety counsellor Anna Papaioannou. In the first part of the episode we discuss Anna’s own healing journey, which was linked with a traumatic rollercoaster accident when she was ten years old which led to many physical and mental health problems. In the second part of the episode we focus on overcoming anxiety and discuss the questions above. It's an open, honest and compassionate conversation with lots of practical strategies for healing and growth.
